Steak Tips

Before you season your steak, pat it dry and let it air dry, on both sides for at least 30 minutes. The drier the surface of the steak, the better the sear you will get when it hits the grill.

Doing a reverse sear, the same principle applies. 

Just sprinkle on a bit of your Montreal Steak Spice From Lex's Pantry and do your magic. 

Serve with your favourite sides from caesar salad to baked potatoes, fresh asparagus to steak-house style pickles. Or just slice it against the grain and pop it on top of a garden salad with a  drizzle of balsamic. Perfection!

Delicious spice blend

The Montreal Steak spice has the perfect blend of flavours that makes it a delicious seasoning for steaks, and we also love it mixed in our burgers. It’s so convenient having all the right spices already mixed together.

Extraordinary Flavours!

We absolutely LOVED this magical concoction! Lex has hit it out of the park with this fresh flavour combo. Not too spicy, not smoky, not too aromatic.... just right. Also, drying the steaks *thoroughly* before seasoning was key to getting the flavours to permeate the meat before grilling. Now that we know this trick (THANKS Lex) we'll never do it any other way. With this great success, we can't wait to try other items in the Lex's Pantry portfolio. Great feasts on the horizon! (Next time I'll take pics) :-)
