Sticky Korean Orange Pork

Inspired by a craving, this Sticky Korean Orange Pork dish was born using our Korean BBQ Spice Blend. It brings a lovely combination of garlic, ginger and a dash of sesame to this pork and orange dish.

It's quick and easy, and you can throw in any veggies you'd like or have them on the side. You can also use the left overs in a sandwich or a wrap even a lettuce wrap if you want to mix things up a bit. And I know you do, because you are here.

Sticky Korean Orange Pork

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb Pork
  • 1T Korean BBQ
  • 1T Soy Sauce
  • 1T Shaoxing Wine or Sherry
  • 2T Orange Juice
  • 1 T Cornstarch

Sauce

  • 1/2 c Honey
  • 2T Gochujang or Sriracha
  • 1T Rice Vinegar
  • 1T Orange Juice
  • Optional - orange peel, peppers or thin slices of orange

Instructions:

  1. Mix Korean BBQ Blend with Soy, Wine, OJ, and Cornstarch to make a marinade (for velveting)
  2. Slice pork into thin stripes
  3. Add pork to marinade
  4. Mix honey, gochujang/sriracha, vinegar & OJ for sauce. If using orange peel, add peel now to give it a little time to hydrate.
  5. Sautee pork on high in a wok or pan until cooked. If using, add peppers and sliced orange for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Add sauce and cook until sticky and thick.

Serve over rice or noodles or in lettuce wraps.

    Want it Sticky and Spicy?

Hit it with a bit more gochujang or sriracha. (Lex uses her homemade sriracha because she has it.) Or throw in some Korean Chili Flakes if you've got them. So good!
