Recipe Note
Pro Tips
- For extra depth, marinate the pork in the Korean BBQ spice blend for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Double the sauce and freeze for later.
Flavour Bumps
- Can't get enough ginger? Grate 1tsp of ginger directly into the pan as the pork finishes cooking
- Love garlic? Simply add up to 2 cloves of minced garlic to the pan with the peppers and orange slices.
- Fresh OJ! Use fresh orange juice for the best natural sweetness.
- Want MORE spice? Hit it with more gochugaru/sriracha (Lex uses her homemade sriracha because she has it) or throw in some extra Korean Chili Flakes if you have them. So good!
- Less Spice? If you prefer less heat, reduce or eliminate the gochugaru/sriracha, the Korean BBQ has just little chili flake just enough to notice.
- ZERO Spice? Use our Bulgogi Blend instead of the Korean BBQ Blend. It does have sugar in it, but the rest of the flavours too.
Quick Hacks
- Swap pork for chicken thighs if desired—cook time is about the same.
- Double the sauce and drizzle over steamed vegetables for a flavour boost!
- Don't have any Korean BBQ, you can use our Bulgogi Blend instead. It will make a sweeter marinade.
